Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after the 21-day trial ends?

You can continue using Blood Levels by purchasing Blood Levels Pro — a one-time $4.99 unlock. No subscription, no auto-renewal. If you don't purchase, the app will remain installed but locked until you do.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID that purchased Pro. Open Blood Levels → Settings → Blood Levels Pro → "Restore Purchase." The entitlement follows your Apple ID across all your devices, including Family Sharing.

Are my doses and health data private?

Yes. Blood Levels stores everything on your device (and optionally in your private iCloud). The developer never sees your data. There are no analytics, trackers, or third-party SDKs. See our Privacy Policy.

Can I sync across my iPhone, iPad, and Mac?

Yes — turn on iCloud Sync in Settings. Data syncs through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. It requires the same Apple ID on all devices.

How do I back up my data?

Settings → Data Management → Export JSON Backup produces a single file containing all your medications, doses, health metrics, side effects, and app settings. Share it to Files, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or email. Import it back via Settings → Data Management → Import Data.

Can Blood Levels diagnose or treat conditions?

No. Blood Levels is an informational tool only. It estimates blood levels based on published pharmacokinetic formulas. Actual levels vary by individual. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.

The calculations look off for my medication. What should I do?

Check that the half-life you've entered is correct. The built-in database uses standard published values, but actual metabolism varies. You can override the half-life for any medication in its detail view. Email us if you'd like a medication added to the default database.

Can I use Blood Levels without an iPhone?

Not yet. Currently Blood Levels is iPhone-only. iPad and Apple Watch versions are on the roadmap.
